Bruce was a good guy [although i knew him for a very short while only] Killed on the border in a clash just on/after Xmas 1982. From memory in was at Mpungu not far from Rundu. John Drake died in the same clash. Both from 8 SAI Upington B Coy.

A wonderful friend I met in June 1980 going up to Upington from Durban on the train and stayed friend until he was killed on the 14 January 1982 . Never forgotten, Bruce. He volunteered to join the army as he was born in Rhodesia. Every pass he drove Arthur Luiz, Kevin Holdsworth and myself back to Durban and back again to Upington . Greatly missed
