William Joseph GRANVILLE on Findmypast is shown as Cpl 10455 Army Service Corps, died of disease 31 Mar 1901. He was born 1864 in Stoke Damerel, Devonport, married Alice MARTIN in 1889. They had one child Lydia who died in infancy. Alice died in 1891 aged 26. William married another Alice - Alice Emma BALCOMBE. Their children were William, Herbert, Hannah and Florence. Hannah's baptism record shows her father as a Corporal in the Army Service Corps. She was baptised on 10 Jun 1901 so the family may have been unaware of his death
